CARMEN - Food lover & cooking teacher I always have a great passion for good food. As a child, with my mom, we would spent endless hours preparing cakes and cookies with my “Dolceforno”, an oven toy.
Growing up I continued to cook as a hobby, I cooked for my family and friends, cooking always makes me happy! I graduated in Economics with a thesis on the safety of food, but I felt that something was missing, I wished to realize a dream: to become master of the kitchen! So I'm back to school, this time, my desks are those steel kitchen Gambero Rosso, used by professional chefs. A dream finally came true to become The Master of the Kitchen, I would stay all day in the kitchen, surrounded by pots and pans and all the other tools ..... Experiment no-stop and discovering new tricks of the trade, keep doing and trying and everyday is a new discovery and creation!

The Italian cuisine is known to be a source of pride throughout the world. Chef for Passion organize cooking classes for food lovers all over the world, sharing secrets and preparations of Italian dishes, much sought after in the world. From typical much loved Italian classics to mouth watering mediterranean dishes, you would learn to cook like you have lived in Italy all your life! Our cooking classes take place in the cozy kitchen of Carmen, in Cava de’ Tirreni.
Come and learn all the secrets to prepare the typical regional dishes of the Coast using fresh fish and local vegetables of the season. The lesson lasts about three hours. The recipes will be introduced and prepared by the Chef, who will share with you all his traditional secrets simultaneously translated by a professional interpreter, in order to allow you to reproduce every single step and take your own notes. At the end of each session you’ll enjoy your dishes sitting inside our dining room. You’ll have a hands-on lesson dedicated to the starters, another one to pasta dishes, one to fish and meat second courses, one to side orders, and the last one will be focused onto the desserts.
You’ll choose between these recipes: Homemade pasta (tagliatelle, ravioli capresi, gnocchi alla sorrentina), Scialatielli lemon, Anchovies, Buffalo mozzarella, Eggplant , Mediterranean’ s fish, Pastiera napoletana, “Caprese” cake, Tiramisù and many others.
If you decide to take the cooking class , you can indicate a preference of menu.
